Halo-halong Istorya

I have finally found a bit of time to write. I have been doing a lot of stuffs lateley mostly doing same old stuffs at work and shits. Pucha minsan kakasawa na. I think i need alcohol in my system, quite sometime na rin. I was in baguio a couple of weeks ago and met up with some friends in college. its fun to see them and make tungga some bottle of beers. Medyo bitin kasi i was goin home the next day rin to pangasinan. I love the place so much. Except maybe for the new faces and traffic lights in every kanto and SM, nothing much has really changed. Since the guys i used to hang out with are all working, married, and also in manila (which sometimes can be quite frustrating coz you know na nasa manila lng kayo pero di naman kayo nagkikita. shit bad trip ngay!)
I met with Danny, Chinggay, and Ruby, since they are the only guys i know whom i can easily contact kasi they have never left Baguio. Then we went on to Legarda. We went to the former Cafe San Luis na iba na pangalan ngaun because of some personal disputes between the owners. One of the most memorable place in baguio circa 1990's. I remember the old venue at the university belt sa bonifacio nung first year college ako. I usually eat my dunkin doughnuts there kasi pede umupo kahit di mag order, but then some stupid comercialization happened at nagtayo sila ng Metrobank, 'kinnana. then Cafe San Luis (aptly called CSL)transfered to Session at the top of Jollibee and stayed there for so so years tapos nagkaproblema kaya lumipat na sya, the monicker stayed for a year yata pero pinalitan na rin. back to the kwento nagshot kami ng isang round lng yata tapos lumipat na rin kami. Mostly the present generation kolehiyala's ruling places like Gimbals, Cactus etc.
Sa Nevada Square kami....I was never really fond of going to that promenade as far as i could remember. Except maybe for the occassional shots with the my gang sa T2E (Tito Endongs) nung 3rd yr kami. Syet krablet at stallion beer (Red Horse na maliit). I guess inaantay pa rin ni Rhod yung red horse nya shit eh malapit na yata sya bumalik ulit from esteyts. heheh...Enewey, Nevada Square has turned into promenade of clubs and bars. The only bar you could see there before was Brewyard, now magkakatabi na sila. I guess we fit there since the o-ats na nadun were our demography so dun na lng kami tumuma ulit. I find him a bit eccentric, but i guess some would say that of me too (yaks gaya-gaya). I had to share to na twice ko nakaksabay ang tatay nila, of course, who would not know about the legendary "Kidlat Tahimik." Minsan nakatabi ko sya sa internet cafe ngay sa session one madaling morning. it was one of the coolest experience mahn! wicked. Di sya marunong gumamit ng Wordpad kasi MS Word lng alam nya. heheh. The next time nakasabay ko sya ulit sa byahe pabalik ng manila. sobrang humble, kita mo lng kumakain ng chiraron baboy at itlog ng pugo sa bus. hehehe. Cool talaga. Newei, it was nice to catch up with Chinggay, Danni, and Ruby. We had a reason to be pathetic about the "was" the "were's" and "the used too." Minsan iba pag may pinagsamahan. San Miguel Beer! hehehe.
Kwentong kwela at halo-halong istorya, it wouldnt be as worth it without making fun of the silliness of youth and the embarssment of idiocy. Of course we had to remember people from our batch mates, old instructors, and best friends getting drunk and eventually soak up on their own pathetic attempt to get a date on christmas season. Count and curse those who has gotten married and made families, then desparately comment on your single blessedness pero sa totoo lng what you really want to say is "syet napagiiwanan na yata ako."In the end we uninanimously felt the lost of youth and miss our carelessness back in the days. I guess somehow we want to keep in touch with that phase in our lives, in anyway we can. (medyo sumasakit yung sikmura ko habang sinusulat ko to, pathetic me.)
